MeeT's mission

MeeT Restaurants was founded by three Vancouver restaurant alumni in 2013.

Jason Antony, Ivo Staiano and Linda Antony have each spent over 25 years in the restaurant business, and have been close friends for over 20 of those years - They came together in MeeT wanting to create a new restaurant concept that would change lives..!

Friends, family and pals sharing time over food & drink is one of the most connective things we can do these days. MeeT intends to show people that comfort food that connects us and nourishes us can be veggie, can be made from scratch, can be delicious and can be a affordable…  MeeT is a place that welcomes everyone, and has seat for all people looking to come together and spend time together connecting.

Our mission is to help transition the mainstream to eating more plant-based foods in a friendly, accepting and engaging venue. This change is why we are here. We also strive to be an extraordinary employer, and look for ways daily to make MeeT a place that our staff can look forward to coming to work excited, and with a purpose..!

The recipes at MeeT were created by Linda who cut her teeth in the industry at Vij’s, and after culinary school at DV8  - her background also fed into her household recipes - creating sauces and dishes that would be favourites of her Veggie husband and 3 non-veggie boys... no small feat! These sauces and dishes are many of the foundations of MeeT's most popular dishes that continue to be craved by veggies and non-veg alike!

Ivo, Jason and Linda have spent the last 20 years in Vancouver, owning and operating a total of 8 restaurants and organic grocery stores throughout the city! They launched the concept of MeeT with a purpose to re-engage in the restaurant industry - not just to succeed in this market, but to re-shape it! From customers perceptions of comfort food, to staff perceptions of what a workplace should be, their goal is to surpass and re-imagine the restaurant establishment to be a better version of itself..!
